About the location

Collection Lambert - musée d'art contemporain
5 rue Violette, 84000 Avignon
  • Vaucluse
  • Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
The Lambert Collection in Avignon is a large museum of contemporary art born in 2000 (and expanded in 2015) at the initiative of an art dealer and collector, Yvon Lambert, who donated to the State an exceptional collection of major works from the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. Housed in two magnificent 18th-century mansions in the centre of Avignon, in the heart of Provence, the Lambert Collection regularly presents ambitious exhibitions and a varied cultural and educational programme on 4,000 m2.
