Concert for the 10th anniversary of Cerco (Museon Arlaten)
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cerco, the Museon Arlaten workshop reserves, a free concert by Liza l'occitane Quartet. Liza draws on her Mediterranean and Viking roots to offer intimate songs with sunny jazz hues. Like a troibairitz (troubadour woman) Liza composes and sings in her language of heart: Occitan-Provençal, which she sometimes mixes with English, her mother tongue.
Surrounded by a double bass and a jazz drums, Liza knows how to compose striking and heady melodies. Liza sings of lost love, hoped for love, rediscovered love… A version of his song «Solèu Roge» on lyrics imagined by Matieu Poitavin, earned him the Audience Award at the Eurovision Minority Languages in Sweden (2006).
Spotted by France 3, Liza also presented the show in Lenga d'Oc Vaqui for five years.
The show will be followed by a moment of conviviality, which will give you the opportunity to exchange with the museum’s scientific teams.
Musicians: Liza (vocals, piano), Patrick Cascino (piano), Charly Tomas (double bass), Luca Scalambrino (drums)
