Because it is the only «Lumière du jour» workshop of the late nineteenth century still functioning in France, the Atelier Malicot, constitutes a singular heritage. Opened to the public more than 10 years ago after 3 years of restoration, it is today recognized in Europe as one of the rare places of memory and conservation of ancient photographic techniques.
