From stone to lime

Quarry, bluterie and kilns classified "historical monuments" form a remarkable industrial ensemble.
Built in 1873, they animated the economic life of Benet and its surroundings for more than 100 years thanks to the coal of the Faymoreau mines and the railway line. They were rehabilitated with the help of the Bern Mission and the Heritage Foundation.
Come discover them or rediscover them during our guided tours of the kilns and the geology of the site and enjoy the exhibitions and demonstrations associated: dry stone wall construction and biodiversity.
