Inside the church, there will be a reproduction of the monstrance, maps and a painting, related to the battle of Isle de Rié. The latter took place between the Catholic troops, led by King Louis XIII and the Protestant troops, with the Duke of Soubise (Benjamin de rohan) at their head, on 16 April 1622.

Built in 1889, the church was recently restored. Remarkable elements: way of the cross, wooden altar, painting renovated in 2021 by local painter Henry Simon, made in 1944, on his return from captivity. He features Louis XIII offering a monstrance (gilded silver with enamels, work of the Nantes goldsmith Thomas Quin) to the town. This painting evokes the victory of Louis XIII over the prince of Soubise, leader of the Protestants, thanks to the important help of the Riézaise population, during the battle of Isle de Rié on April 16, 1622.
