Arc En Ciel 2034, the first global waste recovery facility in Nantes Métropole and Saint-Nazaire agglomeration, is a waste treatment and recovery centre based in Couëron in Loire Atlantique. It is composed of 3 main units:
* the energy recovery unit (transforms 98% of the household waste received each year into electricity and heat)
* the sorting workshop for selective collections (96% of recyclable waste can be recovered as material recovery and 4% as energy)
* the off-the-shelf workshop (converts waste from waste-to solid recovery fuels that feed dedicated boilers)
