The Association de sauvegarde organizes the guided tour of the Notre Dame church in the continuity of the visit of the Romanesque cloister of the Jaillette organized by its owner. The price of the visit of 5 € paid at the entrance of the cloister includes the entire prieural site. The whole visit lasts about an hour and a half.

According to Célestin Port the term Notre-Dame is known in 1400 but the church is dedicated to Saint Catherine in the texts of the 17th and 18th centuries. The construction of the priory church seems to go back to the 12th and 13th centuries. In the nave, murals are dated to the 15th and 16th centuries. Modifications to the structure were made in the 16th and 18th centuries. In the 19th century, the choir was repainted imitating a cut stone apparatus. Divided into two unequal parts, each covered by a roof with long panels, the church of La Jaillette asserts its antiquity with regard to the implementation of building materials: The walls and buttresses surrounding the building are made of fairly regular shale rubble; only the two gates, which have been extensively worked, and to a lesser extent the frames of the high windows, are made of limestone and white tuffeaux.
