Burdock and I is a room that features a 40-year-old woman and a burdock, a wild plant that grows in the forest in the shade of the roads. The performance that seals a hazardous, strange and funny encounter between two alien species one to the other unfolds a series of narrative fragments, choreographic sequences and colorful paintings... Humans and burdock learn, at the rate of 30 minutes, to live side by side, a little close, a little distant, nourishing jointly of water, sun, earth, exchanging Co2 for oxygen. The pad is an artistic incubator for the visual and performing arts. The pad offers three workspaces and experimentation: the booth, the top studio and the bottom studio, where artists can make their creative process public by inventing the form of presentation that best suits the progress of their project. It exists thanks to the will of three artistic structures located in Angers: the collective BLAST, the company Loba and the company nathalie béasse, in partnership with the cultural service of the city of Angers. Invested in professional approaches and concerned with exchange, cultural development in their region and beyond, these three artistic structures engage in their own way, in a process of mutualization, by welcoming artists.
