Bird migration at Pointe de l'Aiguillon
Bird Migration at the Point
Welcomed by the volunteers and spotters of the LPO Vendée, come and discover the migration of passerines (swallows, wagtails, etc.) at the Pointe de l'Aiguillon.
A daily count every autumn
A must for many passerines in autumn migration, the tip of Aiguillon is a privileged site for bird watching in Vendée. Since 1993, the volunteers of the LPO Vendée gathered at the “migration camp” meet there daily to count the birds in transit through the Pointe. This counting takes place every morning, from 1 September to 30 November, from sunrise until noon. More information on bird migration at Pointe de l'Aiguillon here
To share this experience and discover this heritage (which we hope is sustainable even if the populations of birds studied are not doing well), the volunteers who ensure this daily count invite the public to take a look in the long-termseen on the occasion of heritage days.
What is a point of obs'?
