The Rallye photo historique de Pont-Saint-Esprit is a captivating and free animation designed for the whole family. The event offers a unique experience where participants are transported into the past of the city. Participants receive a printed document containing black and white photos of Pont-Saint-Esprit in the last century. Their mission is to find the exact places where these photos were taken. By visiting these places, they will have the opportunity to meet historical figures who have found themselves in our contemporary world. These iconic Pont-Saint-Esprit characters will accompany participants throughout the rally, helping them solve puzzles and unravel the mysteries of the past. The puzzles offered allow you to discover the exceptional heritage of the city and live an interactive and entertaining adventure. The event aims to introduce the charm and history of Pont-Saint-Esprit to a wide audience, from adults to children. It is an opportunity to share moments with family or friends while exploring the picturesque streets of the city and soaking up its rich architectural heritage.

nineteenth century. It is claimed that the wife or daughter (or even the mistress) of the then mayor (Sébastien-Apollon Sibour) would have served as a model for this statue inaugurated on September 1, 1839 at his request (for the fair, once again). That’s why some people call her Diane... The mayor wanted this fountain even more spectacular than the Fontaine du Coq, hence the choice of both bronze and an award-winning sculptor, Paul Colin. It was conceived as a figurehead, like the Victory of Samothrace, an ode to navigation and the city.
