Exhibition of photographs by Alain Cavalier, on a proposal by Mohamed El Khatib. In partnership with the city of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. In 1953, the Chartreuse was still a district of Villeneuve, often poorly considered because of the poor and sometimes indigent populations who lived there. Alain Cavalier has captured in his lens scenes of life on the cloister Saint-Jean, real place of this «village in the village», children’s playground. This exhibition is totally new and constitutes a poetic and striking testimony.
