It is through his painting that Victor Mariñas reveals his love for life. Like an urgent call, the colors spring from the canvas to express its emotions. He draws his inspiration directly from the flow of his existence, nourished by his Spanish origins, his career in the Foreign Legion and his multiple encounters. Among these, his meeting with Manuel Fernandez Carmona, a disciple of Pablo Picasso, was decisive and allowed his art to assert itself, being, as he describes it, halfway between abstract and surrealism.
