The church of Sainte-Perpétue and Sainte-Félicité de Nîmes is an eclectic church, typical of the Second Empire. The bell tower on the façade has a high spire, dominating the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade by 71 metres.
The church was built on the plans of the architect Léon Feuchère. The decoration is by Joseph Felon. His first stone was laid in October 1852 by Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte. The work was completed in the fall of 1862, but the work was completed in 1864\. The church was consecrated in June 1864.
