Directly inspired by the theories of Linné and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the botanical garden of the castle of Mongenan has preserved in vivo all the plants collected in its precious herbaria of the eighteenth century. Their disposition remained unchanged, a thousand species and varieties teach us how to live in autarky in an aristocratic house in the Enlightenment.
