Discover the legendary castle of the White Queen, accompanied by a guide, the castle built by Guilhem de Toulouse, seneschal of the King of England Edward III between 1314 and 1320.
It served as a citadel for the Bastide. Walls follow one another without interruption. At the corners, four square towers and three flanking towers in the middle on each side.
Square in plan, the central tower, of earlier construction stands in the middle of the enclosure.
According to legend, the White Queen was locked in this «dungeon» where she died poisoned.

Built by Edward III of England in 1286, the castle served as a citadel of the bastide. The walls succeed without interruption. At the corners, four round towers for the defence. From a square plan, the isolated keep stands in the center of the enclosure. According to legend, the White Queen was locked in the dungeon, where she died poisoned.
