In addition to this event, do not miss the exhibition «L'hôpital Haut-Lévêque, 200 years already» where, from photographs to testimonies, you will discover the history of this atypical site inscribed in the pessacaise memory.
The exhibition is in the hall of the Magellan medical-surgical center (entrance 2) of the Haut-Lévêque hospital.

The Xavier Arnozan Hospital takes its name from that of a prominent Bordeaux doctor born in 1852, who was also deputy mayor of Bordeaux for 13 years, in charge of the direction of the municipal services of assistance and hygiene.
A member of many learned societies and author of several publications, he was admired and venerated by his fellow citizens. He was also named commander of the Legion of Honour.
It was he who persuaded the Bordeaux City Council to buy in 1919 the private sanatorium of Feuillas located in Pessac, and who participated in its development as an administrator.
