Placed on a rocky outcrop overlooking the narrow valley of Ségur, Castelmoron d'Albret is first perceived in the middle of the vineyards when one descends from the surrounding wooded plateaus. Its topographical location on a rocky promontory with steep slopes gives this former stronghold an almost theatrical silhouette, which is reinforced by the embrace of the imposing fortifications that surround it.
