E 1027, the beachfront house designed by Eileen Gray and Jean Badovici in 1926-1929, benefited from an exceptional restoration that lasted 5 years. This restoration included the complete reconstruction of its furniture and equipment, bringing this emblematic example of total art back to its original state of 1929.
This complex and unanimously acclaimed work was rewarded in 2022 with the Europa Nostra Prize awarded by Europe, and in 2023 with the Restoration Medal of the Academy of Architecture.
