In more than 200 years, the school has trained tens of thousands of women and men, with as much requirement as openness, with the aim of bringing to life and developing the artisanal gesture and the spirit of creation, essential to the industry of yesterday, today and tomorrow. The mission of the Philomathique is to bring to life and develop the artisanal gesture and the spirit of creation, you can enjoy several tours of the building, an essential architectural piece of the historic center of Bordeaux, built in 1869.
At the end of the visits, learn about craft techniques and practices during discovery workshops, led by our trainers, professional in the fields of art and crafts.
Enfn, to close the day, attend a musical event in the monumental staircase of the Philomathique. This service is part of the program of «La Nuit des Escaliers», proposed by theOpéra National de Bordeaux. The performances will be performed by the musicians of the Talence School of Music and Dance. PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
