«Wild Style» (83 minutes) then «Beat Street» (105 minutes)
«Wild Style» is an American film shot and directed by Charlie Ahearn and released in 1983. It tells the beginnings of hip-hop culture in the Bronx in New York by addressing dance, rap, and graffiti and the creators of hip-hop: DJs. Making him, therefore, an important and playful testimony of the birth of a culture that will soon invade the world.
«Beat Street» is one of the first American films devoted to hip-hop, after Wild Style and Style Wars, it is directed by Stan Lathan and released in 1984. A small group of young Bronx residents want to break into the hip-hop world. Kenny is a promising DJ, his little brother Lee is an excellent breakdancer, Ramon is a graffiti artist and Charlie has given himself a place of manager for Kenny.

Taxie Gallery offers at the artothèque "les arts au mur", an immersive, transdisciplinary and animated exhibition on Hip Hop and all its scenes.
Open to the public from the youngest to the most discerning, the exhibition will bring together all the scenes of Hip Hop culture from its musical and bodily art to its pictorial art.
Around archival photographic works, iconic objects, performances, conferences, projections and meetings, it will allow the public to discover the whole history of movement and to express themselves.
