FORT DE BICÊTRE
21 avenue Charles-Gide
  • Val-de-Marne
  • Île-de-France
Built between 1842 and 1846, Fort de Bicêtre is part of a belt of 17 forts, all built in the mid-19th century to protect the capital. Pentagonal in shape, the Fort was successively occupied by various military units. Since 1946, it has lost its tactical importance but has retained its military vocation. Currently, the fort mainly hosts the central level of the Joint Directorate of Infrastructure Networks and Defence Information Systems (DIRISI).
