**Discover the exhibition The bite of termites, dedicated to graffiti, with its curator, Hugo Vitrani.**Acting by parasitization, by telescoping, by fantasy, by friction, by counter-meaning or by friendship, The bite of termites attempts a speculative rereading of the history of art considered under the prism of graffiti.
Graffiti not as a subject or aesthetic, but as an experience, as an attitude, as an imaginary, as an underground thought. An experience of illegality and broken windows, the wandering of bodies in motion, an attraction for perspectives without light, a rejection of the romanticism of vandalism, considered here as much in its potential of degradation as in the care of damaged surfaces , a fascination for visible or invisible languages that confront and shape themselves with the precarious material of reality while transforming it…

Building on these years of success, the Palais de Tokyo became, in 2012, one of the largest sites dedicated to contemporary creation in Europe, its surface area growing from 8,000 m² to 22,000 m². It now extends to the Seine, forming a link on the hillside between the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysées. Its success, its spirit of adventure and its new spaces put at the service of artists, their gestures and their gazes increase our capacity to perceive, imagine and open new paths. Today, the extension of its territory and its project gives the Palais de Tokyo the opportunity to rethink the role of the cultural institution in the face of the permanent acceleration of our lives. It becomes the place of encounter between ourselves and the art of our time. A place born, inhabited and grown from its contradictions. Enchanted and violent, poetic and transgressive, sensual and meditative, vast and intimate, public and secret, where one knows how to be enthusiastic without being pontiff, rela
