Architect Louis Le Masson directed the construction of the St-Pierre St-Paul church in 1790 and 1791. The building was restored in 1819 thanks to an important gift from the Duchess of Angoulème. The great works directed by the architect Jean-Baptiste Guénepin from 1868 to 1870 gave him his present diensions. A new organ was built in 201, under the direction of organ builder Bertrand Cattiaux.
