Recital: The Highest
With André Velter (voice) and Gaspar Claus (cello). Since 1976, in the Afghan Hindu-Kush and then in the Himalayas, André Velter has not stopped physically and poetically living in the Haut-Pays. From Ladakh to the sources of the Ganges, from Nepal to Sikkim, from Kashgar to Tibet, he has multiplied altitude courses and given his writing an ever more ascending meaning. This is reflected in most of his poetry books (From The High Country to Trafiquer in Infinity) and several of his essays. Taking up the challenge of René Daumal in Le Mont-Analogue, he leads with Gaspar Claus this unprecedented journey, linking his favorite places, lived experiences and rhythms that open space lavishly […] with for every viatique beauty, love and infinity.
