Presentation of the historical organ L.A.Clicquot (1735) by Régis Allard
On the same day, 2022 marked the 50th anniversary of the exemplary restoration of the historic Houdan organ.
Built by one of the most prestigious family of 18th century organ builders in France, the Clicquots, this organ is one of the few French classical instruments that has not undergone any transformation over the centuries. Also it is a valuable witness for the interpretation of the organ music of this time and made the admiration of organists of the whole world.
Régis Allard, its titular organist, will make the history and make it heard through pieces of the baroque repertoire. The instrument was recently restored, followed by the recording of a CD by Régis Allard entitled "Magnificat 1739" and rewarded with 5 tuning forks.
