The Chapel of Ville-d'Avray was in 1889 the Norwegian pavilion, represented by the Norwegian Evangelical Mission at the World Exhibition, the same year as the Eiffel Tower, during the centenary of the French Revolution.
Sold for a symbolic franc in the Consistory of Versailles, to complete the temple of Bellevue, the chapel was installed on a small plot of Ville-d'Avray.
In fact, she had to go to South Africa but the transportation costs were too high.
Initially rectangular, it was enlarged in 1950 with the addition of the choir.
Currently, the pastor of the United Protestant Church of Meudon Sèvres Ville-d'Avray presides periodically on Sunday mornings, especially during school holidays.
