Its construction dates back to the time of Louis Philippe when, with the arrival of the railway, many Protestant families moved to Bellevue, which was also a resort. This land was acquired by a wealthy parishioner and several families joined her to erect the temple, which was inaugurated in 1844. It was originally a chapel, which was opened to the public, then enlarged around 1950 with the construction of a narthex and a mezannine. At that time, Stephan Buxin, a severe sculptor in the parish, offered three sculptures: two inside "You will love the Lord your God with all your strength" and "You will love your neighbour as yourself", as well as a "Tree of Life" on the outside eardrum.
