VR - THE TEOTIHUACAN CAPTIVE

The musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac offers a virtual reality program exclusively for the Micro-Funds, presenting the history of Teotihuacan, the «City of the Gods». Its peak lasted more than four centuries, from 100 to 550 A.D. Located about forty kilometres from the heart of present-day Mexico City, this formidable religious, economic and political capital then had between 80,000 and 100,000 inhabitants. The prestige and authority of what was once the largest city in the whole New World extended far into space - over a thousand and five hundred kilometres to the south-east, towards the Mayan country - and in time - to the Aztecs and the Conquest of the sixteenth century.
