Romanesque church of the 12th and 13th centuries. Historical monument classified since 22 July 1913\. One finds its trace from 1085: possession of the monks of St-Martin-des-Champs in Paris, then in 1200 a chapel dedicated to St Jacques. It was a large church for a commune of about 45 families. It welcomed the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela, nicknamed the 'Jacquets'"coming from the East of France before crossing the Marne at the Abbey of Saint-Maur via the only bridge of the time, that of Joinville and the church of Saint-Jacques de la Boucherie (currently Tour Saintt-Jacques), rue de Rivoli in Paris which was the gathering place of the pilgrims. The name of Saint Saturnin comes from Saint Sernin (from the Spanish) where he was venerated in the southwest.
