Organized around the trip to South America that Albert Kahn undertook in 1909, the new exhibition of the departmental museum tells the color of an era. Between portraits of cities, soundscapes and exploration of autochrome technique, she leads visitors to the heart of a documentary investigation, from Argentina to Brazil via Uruguay. This unique visual testimony, which prefigures the Archives de la Planète project, occupies a special place in the museum’s collections, preserving its share of mysteries.
