Hôtel du Croissant
2 rue Basse-de-la-Vallée 95260 Beaumont-sur-Oise
Old inn restored in 1992\. During the restoration of the Hotel du Croissant, a medieval wall dating from the 15th century, or even the 14th century, was discovered. To indicate that the hotel is open at night, a metal crescent is placed above the porch to indicate that it is open day and night, hence the name of this building. On July 13, 1680, the Sun King stopped there to rest. In 1830, the Hôtel du Croissant became a school that could accommodate up to ninety students. In 1992, it became the property of the town of Beaumont. Listed as a Historic Monument, it houses the Tourist Office and the Municipal Police.
