In connection with her projects of choreographic creation around sport, Christina Towle invites you to participate in a collective performance on September 17 on the Place des Fêtes. Mash-Up Sportif invites professionals and amateurs to gather around the meeting of dance and sport.
The preparation workshop on September 16 will teach you some simple sports gestures, and a short choreography to be performed the next day. Workshop open to all. /Two-day availability required
Christina Towle, choreographer, performer, artistic director Franco-American, Christina Towle founded the Kivuko Company in 2015 with the aim of creating visceral and sensory choreographic pieces through a contemporary dance writing rich in influences of sport and music. Within the Kivuko Company, she affirms the desire to create for young and old, and to develop projects that can be broadcast both on the stage and outside the traditional frames of representation.

In the midst of the explosion of contemporary dance, in the early 80’s, Paris lacks places; from this era was born the studio Regard du Cygne built by two couples (the Guibert and the couple formed by Amy Swanson and Alain Salmon). What defines the studio: a team of artists and professionals, who work to create a welcoming place where performances, work sessions and public rehearsals meet. An atypical place: former post office of the end of the seventeenth century, then workshop become house of artists, the studio knew how to keep its authenticity, its walls in exposed stone, its Parisian pavements, its beams in wood of another time. Programming: The studio finally opened to the public in September 1984 and the first contemporary dance programming took place in April 1985\. At the same time, musical programming was introduced following the 1981 meeting between Amy Swanson and Philippe Coutelen, musician and founder of Carnegie'Small.
