On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Colette’s birth and the 60th anniversary of Jean Cocteau’s death, the Domaine national pays tribute to them by organizing a correspondence workshop. A prepaid postcard at the Éffigie de Colette or Jean Cocteau will be given free of charge to visitors who wish to send a letter to a person of their choice. a mailbox will be available on site to mail their mail.

Built for the Cardinal de Richelieu by the architect Lemercier, builder of the Sorbonne, the main body (1634), facing the Louvre, becomes royal residence (Regency of Anne of Austria) then of the family of Orléans from 1661\.
