Destination Sud-Ardennes

Visit this magnificent 13th-century church, with its 16th-century portal and 17th-century bell tower, listed as a historic monument in 1846.
It is a former church of a priory dissolved in 1740. The nave and the north aisle date from the 13th century, the southern portal in flamboyant Gothic style from the early 16th century and the bell tower from 1614.
Burned in 1940, the waterlogged vaults collapsed on 1 January 1941 due to frost. Since 1941 during the war, and after the war, the restoration work was carried out under the direction of Y.-M. Froidevaux, chief architect of the Historical Monuments. The construction lasted a long time and the large square tower of the church did not regain its roof until the late 1960s, the bells being replaced in 1962.
