The Protestant cult, which until then took place in the wedding hall of the Town Hall, for lack of premises, settled in 1878 in the Rue de la Poterne in a building rented for this purpose. The Protestant consistory purchased this building and had a new chapel built by builder C. Lange in 1880 (with the signature).
