The church Saint-Étienne of Montmirail, at origin chapel of the castle of the Lord Gaucher of Ferté, was built in 1122\. The crossings of ogives, the sculptures of capitals(big tops), the columns which support(bear) them and the ornamentation of the keys of vaults are remarkable. Pieta of style champenois results(comes) probably from the priory of Montléan and the Madonna and Child of the 15th century of the church of Maclaunay. The funeral plates(patches) of the marquesses of Louvois are visible at the entrance(admission) of the transept.
