Domaine Jean Becker

Take a guided tour of the cellars and an impressive collection of wine dishes, old wine pumps and taps.
Following the visit, you will discover, in the courtyard of the estate, the swielâda trolley that was used to load wine in 1918. In the cellar, you will discover an old press & monorail from 1936.
To close the visit, you can admire the winemaker’s house built in 1869 in a Haussmanian style.
To complete your day: A historic route is signposted in the old town of Zellenberg, which was the former summer residence of the counts of Ribeaupierre, as well as the future king of Bavaria Maximilian 1st.

Becker is winegrowers from father to son since 1610 in Zellenberg. Patrician house of 1869 with farm building with old(former) wagon(trolley) of delivery and old manual pumps, in a court(yard) laid with cobblestones. Underground, are present cellars at the wraths in oak of Hungary and a collection of vinaire dishes(crockery). During the 2nd world war, 150 people sheltered in the cellar every evening. The vault of tasting - sale is the old(former) workshop(studio) of cooperage. He welcomes the visitors 7 days a week of Easter in the end of December and 6 days on 7, of January 2nd with Easter. In 2006 the domain had the price(prize) of the stars of welcome(reception) in conformance with(for) the region Alsace, awarded by House of France.
