Stroll in the heart of the village of Champignol-lez-Mondeville, explore the multitude of heritage of the town; its buildings linked to the abbey of Clairvaux of the XII-XIII centuries, its wine history and the presentation of an old press, as well as the commitment of the municipality to the safeguarding of the local biodiversity of the surrounding forests and hillsides. Enclosed in a vineyard amphitheatre, the town is committed to the preservation and enhancement of the whole "Coteaux, Houses and Cellars of Champagne" inscribed on the list of the world heritage as cultural landscapes.
The Saint-Laurent Church (18th century), the medieval tower (13th century) and the chapel of Mondeville (12th century) will be open to visitors from 14:30 to 18:00. Tasting at the end of the walk.

Champignol-lez-Mondeville stands out as the summit of the Department of Aube and Champagne wine growing with 369 meters. The town is distinguished by its rich natural heritage preserved and protected Natura 2000, in the heart of the secular forest of Clairvaux. The village is inscribed on the World Heritage List as Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne in the category of Cultural Landscapes. The history of the village is closely linked to that of the Abbey of Clairvaux, which will build, from the 12th century, a rich land heritage with development of vineyards and lands, around a seigneurial enclosure that has preserved its 13th century tower that served as a prison, the only medieval construction to date preserved from the old manor houses of the abbey. From the top of its promontory, the singular chapel of Mondeville of the twelfth century is thought to be the only contemporary vestige of Bernard de Clairvaux who performed a miraculous healing there in 1146 and reflects the ideal of
