The church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, thanks to its Romanesque architecture of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, is classified as Historical Monuments since 1919\. The village that appears in 1213 under the name of Machodium depends on the diocese of Reims. Its church, like the rural churches of the region, is inspired by the architecture of the buildings of Reims: Gallo-Roman city which has many major Romanesque buildings, including the basilica Saint-Rémi. It has a nave and a 12th century transept. The choir dates from the 1520s, as well as a rich furniture, including the tombstone of Pierre de Machault. Three funeral slabs occupy the aisle near the entrance door to the south. It is the slab of the burial, also moved, Pierre de Machault, bailiff (judicial officer representing the authority of the king or a prince) and his wife the damsel Henriette de Thuisy.
