Attend a concert by Jan Van Mol in the church of Saint-Nicolas de Signy-le-Petit on the historic 1896 Clovis Renault organ. You can listen to works by L.J.A. Lefébure-Wely, C. Franck, Beauvarlet-Charpentier, C.F. Van den Bogaert, A. Wenzel.
Jan Van Mol was educated at the Antwerp Conservatory. Winner of the Avila competition (SP), he is organist-titular of the historic organ of Saint-Paul in Antwerp. He has performed in Europe and abroad: St Paul’s London, St Clothilde Paris, Saratov and Astrakan, St Petersburg, Selby Abbey (“Celebrety Concert”), Zagreb Cathedrals, Magdeburg, Santa Maria Maggiore Bergamo, Khanty Mansiysk Concert Hall (Siberia), Lichen PL Sanctuary and Oliwa PL Abbey, Jena Stadtkirche. He also recorded cds of little known authors (Homilius, Oley, Beauvarlet-Charpentier, Callaerts, Miné, M. Corrette, etc.). Jan Van Mol has been a member of the "Société académique Arts – Sciences -Lettres" in Paris since 2006 and, since 2020, Vice-President of the Amis de l'Orgue d'Aubenton.

The church St Nicholas' Day is built in the second half of the XVIIth century, after the fire of the previous building, burnt in 1636 by the Spanish. The current church is of Renaissance style, its construction lasted a little more than 30 years. It is a solid construction, delivered to its military function(office) on a border zone. She(It) has the shape of a Latin cross, of 36 m of length, on 10,66 m of width in the nave and 12 m of height under vaults. However, after 1680, the region did not know invasion during more than a century and the inhabitants did not have opportunity to look for asylum in their strengthened church.
