The domain of Ferté-Vidame is one of the biggest(greatest) achievements of formal garden of the 18th century. He(It) shelters the vestiges of a castle of the same time(period) and is characterised by the presence of ponds and of alignments of old(former) trees. Source(Spring) of thought for Saint Simon, the park offers pleasant and romantic walks near channels(canals) lined with stone balustrades, while being open to contemporary creation and by receiving installations of designers' furniture. On the spot also, an original signposting allows to the visitors a better understanding, at once historic, botanical and sociological, of the site. (60 hectares)
