Guided tour by Guillaume Collaudin, head gardener, to discover the old and regional vegetables entrusted to Valmer by the Union for Genetic Resources of Centre-Val de Loire. Exploration and tasting! By working in the King’s vegetable garden at Versailles, he understood that gardening would be his profession.
On one hectare, the conservatory garden with its classic drawing of the 15th century, houses a checkerboard of colors, flavors, edible plants and flowers to taste.
Management of water resources, new modes of cultivation, companion plants, promotion of biodiversity... The Château de Valmer aims to promote all its values for more than 20 years in its conservatory garden combining aromas, fruit trees, edible flowers, vegetables forgotten here and elsewhere ...
In the form of an exchange, this walk will be an opportunity to learn some techniques used in gardens.
A playful discovery: listening to the gardener who transmits knowledge and who, of course, adds his own!

The owners are now dedicated to the restoration and beautification of this complex. Two main axes structure an exceptional set of terraces that follow the slope of the hill on eight levels and more than thirty meters of elevation. For more than 10 years, the conservatory garden has made the reputation of the gardens of Valmer. In 2014 a new adventure begins: the installation of an ampelographic collection (old grape varieties and table grapes). The Park keeps intact the beautiful perspectives of the seventeenth century, with columns, a gazebo with three arcades and the pavilion of the
