As part of the European Heritage Day, the cinema Lux de La Châtre is organising a screening of the film Caravaggio (2022) by Michel Placido. Synospis: Italy 1609. Accused of murder, Caravaggio fled Rome and fled to Naples. Supported by the powerful Colonna family, Caravaggio tries to obtain the grace of the Church to return to Rome. The Pope then decided to have an inquisitor, the Shadow, investigate the painter whose art was deemed subversive and contrary to the morality of the Church. This session will follow a tour of the room in partnership with the George Sand and Black Valley Museum and led by Vaness Weinling.
