The association des Carrières de la Lie is partnering with the Groupement archéologique du Mâconnais (GAM) to promote this remarkable natural heritage site. From the Gallo-Roman period to the Middle Ages, these quarries provided the area for the construction, sculpture and realization of hundreds of sarcophagi. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, guided tours are available by reservation on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September from 10 am to 5 pm (last visit at 4.30 pm).
