During the European Heritage Days, take a guided tour of the fort’s interior and exterior. Duration: 45 min.
A didactic video presenting the fort and the models, including a plan in relief of the fort (2.50 x 1.50 m), will be presented.
You can also enjoy an exhibition of the Séré de Rivières fortification system. Departure of visit every 30 minutes.

The Fort of Bessoncourt, located 6 km east of Belfort, is one of 15 strong Séré of Rivers establishing(constituting) the strengthened belfortaine belt. Established from 1883 till 1886, then reinforced in 1889, on 1894 in 1896\. This fort is very representative of the evolution of the strong servicemen of the end of the XIXth century. His(Her,Its) area is 5 hectares, (6 hectares with ditches(gaps). He(It) is in the front line facing a German invasion from Alsace.
