The construction of Ouge castle dates from 1553.
The seigneurial house called here castle was built in the mid-sixteenth century. It is therefore of Renaissance period but what characterizes it is its aspect still medieval: its towers pierced with embrasures of shot and its bretche above the entrance of the octagonal staircase tower give it its defensive aspect. Its large windows were opened in the 19th century to bring the house the light it lacked.
Development of gardens
Since 1982, the area has been home to recreational parks and gardens. Today it is flanked by four separate garden areas:

• the Renaissance garden;
• the French garden;
• the Japanese garden;
• the English park. On Fridays, the gardens will welcome the school public.
