At the heart of the Bisontine loop, from an old grain hall built by the architect Pierre Marnotte from 1834 to 1842, the mission of Louis Miquel consisted in developing exhibition spaces for a museum. This project, carried out between 1964 and 1970, is described by its author as a "visitable sculpture"1\. The visit route of this architectural square-based ballad, allows the visitor to pass from the new building to the old one to return to the new one through a succession of plans and landings from which perspectives are provided offering different views on the raw construction of Miquel’s formwork dismantling. The succession of radiating architectural promenades, horizontal by level, contrasts with the spiral course and verticality between the floors. The walk within the building is carried out via the ramps in an ascending manner.
