Exhibition of the painter Alain Michaud
Alain Michaud usually focuses on one theme: human beings facing their destiny. He translates this in these canvases by the presence of one or more anonymous silhouettes that confront vertiginous places, hostile or not. The exhibition on the occasion of the European Heritage Days is a little different. About thirty paintings are exhibited and worked by a technique between painting and collage. The photos of the heritage places of the city of Mâcon are enlarged and deconstructed then glued on the canvas before being reworked with painting. He tends to evoke by this gesture the heritage of the past that remains present, if not physically, at least in memories and that, more current, which is connected to it by the chain of time.
