With a guided tour of 1h30 to 2h, discover a historic industrial site. You will discover unique know-how by attending the production of continuous welded rails (432 m), or mechanical parts needed for catenary equipment.
You will also see what these productions are intended for, and how they are shipped throughout the territory for the completion of the maintenance and modernization projects of the French railway network. Animations dedicated to children (tour de locotracteur) are also planned.

The Saulon-la-Chapelle site, located next to Dijon, has two completely different activities: the first, its main mission, consists in manufacturing the 432 m long welded rails that are transported to the construction and renovation sites of the railway lines. The second activity concerns the manufacture of welding machines and more particularly the manufacture of catenary poles and all the parts that hang on them to hang the catenary wire. 130 officers work at the Saulon site. Since 2012, a new activity has been established there: rail recovery. The LGV track upgrades leave behind kilometres of track, some of which are still in very good condition. The Direct Reuse Rail (DRR) activity consists of retrieving portions of flawless rails to create new ones that can be installed on conventional lines. This process of sorting and reusing the rails makes it possible to save on the renovation of lines of small capacities.
