Lezoux was one of the biggest(greatest) production sites of ceramics of the Roman Empire. On tens of hectares, the potters manufactured several hundred of millions of vases. Among these productions, the most important and the most notable is the one of the sigillée ceramic. It is about dishes(crockery) of bright red colour, in the rather large directory of forms (plates, beakers, cups(cutting)). This ceramic was fabricated during five first centuries of our era, with techniques, styles or in forms which evolved over time. Commercialised massively and fabricated in series, this dishes(crockery) manifest especially the distribution(broadcasting) of the romanité across all Europe. Explore, observe, play, experiment, touch, smell: thanks to a route(course) young audience and in tactile adaptations, the permanent exhibition is accessible(approachable) to the smallest as well as to the people presenting a sensory or physical disability.
